Danu The Highland Cow * Bamboo Relaxed Fit T-shirt

1. Introducing Danu the Highland Cow, named after the most ancient Celtic Goddess, Danu. She represents the earth and its fruitfulness, esoteric wisdom and magic. She is said to have dual characteristics, one being the nurturing mother goddess, and another being the strong, warrior goddess. Rivers are associated with her and represent the fertile and abundance of the land. Danu was associated with Craftsmanship, music and poetry.

I’ve drawn this highland cow, or Heilan’ Coo in Scots, to encompass the Scottish heritage and mythology where the cows hail from. The more you look the more you see. Moon phases, ferns, oak tree, thistle, mushrooms, Celtic knot, kingfisher, and a sunrise over the hills. I hope you like it as much as I do!
